An activist of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) who was shot injured by robber over resistance during robbery passed away here on Thursday. According to details, JI worker Abdul Haleem Umairi 50, was critically injured after shot at by robbers over resistance during a robbery near Sir Syed University Nepa Chowrangi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Karachi. The injured was rushed to Civil Hospital where he remained under treatment for six days and passed away on Thursday. SHO Aziz Bhatti police station, Saeed Narejo said that the heirs of deceased were stating the incident as outcome of financial dispute instead of robbery. Amir JI Karachi, Munham Zafar strongly condemning the incident has demanded of the authorities to bring the culprits to book.
