Islamabad District courts launch digital system for enhanced transparencyBreaking

A state-of-the-art digital system has been inaugurated at Islamabad district courts to streamline case management and improve public access to legal information. The system, unveiled by Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Justice Amir Farooq, aims to modernize the judiciary's operations. Developed by Umar Rasheed Dar, the head of the IT Department at Islamabad High Court, the new system provides online access to case status from filing to judgment. This integration encompasses the Islamabad High Court, District Judiciary, Bar Associations, and NADRA, creating a unified platform for legal proceedings.

Key features of the system include the ability to send e-notices via WhatsApp and email, and the installation of Kiosk machines for online case information in District Courts. It also boasts a centralized data center, data app, and database, enhancing the efficiency of legal processes. Additional components include a One Window Information Desk and a certified copy management system. The online platform will also provide access to lawyersí license statuses. The digital system is designed to foster greater transparency and efficiency in the judiciary and will also connect with police, prosecution, and prison authorities.
