Headed by Member Environment and Administration Talat Gondal, a team has initiated the inquiry into the issue of surge fish mortality rate in Rawal Dam. Earlier, Chief Commissioner and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa had taken the notice of media reports regarding increase in fish mortality in Rawal Dam. The team accompanied by officials from the Environment Protection Department, collected water samples from the dam, which have been sent to the Environment Protection Department, Punjab Fisheries Department, and Fisheries Research Institute of NARC, Islamabad, for analysis.
