Health ministry confirms second case of Monkeypox in PakistanBreaking

The Health Ministry has confirmed a second case of monkeypox in Pakistan, detected at Peshawar Airport. According to the Health Ministry spokesperson, the patient arrived from a Gulf country exhibiting symptoms of the virus. The test at the airport returned positive, and the patient was promptly transferred to a hospital by the health desk. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed Bhurt, Prime Minister's Coordinator for Health, assured that the Ministry is actively monitoring the situation. An effective screening and surveillance system is in place at all airports, with border health staff working diligently at entry points. Dr. Bhurt emphasized the government's commitment to implementing serious measures to protect the public from outbreaks.
