The federal government has decided to review the foreign funding of local and foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for which it has constituted a six-member committee of the federal cabinet. Federal Minister for Law Azam Nazir Tarar will be of the committee and it will comprise secretaries for interior, foreign, law, finance and economic affairs. The committee will review the blocking suspicious foreign funding received by the NGOs and will give suggestions for ensuring transparency in the funding. It will also review whether the funds were utilized for same purpose for what they have been received.
