Federal Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik has said that the current gas tariff would remain unchanged until the winter months of December and January. While addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Tuesday, he ruled out the rumours regarding increase in gas prices. Musadik Malik said that the Punjab government has given relief of Rs14 on each unit for the consumers using up to 500 units which will cover ninety-eight percent households. He said the federal government earlier had announced a subsidy of 50 billion rupees for the consumers using up to two hundred units across the country. Commenting on the political situation, Musadik Malik urged the PTI to shun the politics of arson and anarchy and rather engage in the dialogue process to sort out the issues.
