A Boeing cargo plane belonging to an international airline made an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport in the wee hours of Friday after the aircraft developed a technical fault. According to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), flight FP-5202 Fly Pro Airlines was travelling from Dhaka to Baku when the pilot noticed the technical glitch while flying over Indian airspace. The fault persisted when the plane entered Pakistani airspace after which the pilot contacted air traffic controller (ATC) at Karachi Airport and sought permission for landing. According to sources in the CAA, after getting permission the pilot rerouted his plane and turned it towards Karachi from Sukkur. The aircraft made an emergency landing at the Karachi Airport at 2:45 am. CAA sources said the plane was parked at the Karachi Airport and was being examined by the experts.
