To reduce the carbon emissions, the Energy storage as a service (ESaaS) will act as a mile stone in Pakistan. It will open a portal toward the low-carbon future, opined Coordinator to Prime Minister on Climate Change, Romina Khurshid Alam in the launching ceremony of ESaaS. Addressing as a chief guest, she said, “It is not merely a technological milestone but a reflection of Pakistan’s commitment toward green energy. Energy storage as a service (ESaaS) at an industrial scale is an emerging model, where energy storage systems are offered to customers as a service rather than a traditional capital expenditure. It will integrate innovative energy solutions by enhancing the country’s energy infrastructure toward sustainable energy supplies”.
She said that this project basically aims to revolutionise energy storage capabilities. Mainly, the Brillanz Group in coordination with other key stakeholders actualized the project for a greener and climate-resilience energy future in Pakistan. By adopting such innovative energy solutions, prioritizing decarbonization agendas, the present government reflected that sustainable practices are at the core of our development strategy.
“By reducing diesel consumption, we are not only promoting energy efficiency but also addressing a critical economic vulnerability—our reliance on diesel imports to mitigate the strain on our foreign currency reserves. Together, we can ensure that our economic growth is not at odds with environmental stewardship but is instead a harmonious blend of both”, added Romina Khurshid Alam.
Majid Misfer Alghamdi, Asst Deputy Minister for Tourism, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at this occasion said, “Although, it might be a small step, but a leap toward reducing the national carbon footprint. Beyond environmental impact, this project will prove a significant initiative to address economic resilience by reducing diesel consumption. It will not only cut diesel imports to a large extent but will also help avoiding foreign exchange consumption”.
