An FIR was registered against Baloch nationalist leader and Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) leader Mahrang Baloch in Karachi on Friday under sections related to inciting people to violence and terrorism. As per the text of the case, Mahrang is a collaborator of Baloch terrorist organizations. It is also stated in the FIR that she misguides the educated Baloch youth. Mahrang was on Monday night stopped from boarding a flight to New York by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) at the Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport. The incident came weeks after another BYC leader Sammi Deen Baloch was barred from fleeing abroad at the same airport for the same reason. In a video statement, Mahrang said her name had been included in the immigration stop list. She was travelling to the USA after she was invited to Time Magazine’s gala celebrating the "Most Influential Emerging Leaders of the Year."
