The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Peshawar Zone on Thursday unveiled the details of operations conducted against Hawala Hundi and illegal foreign currency exchange during 2024. According to FIA spokesman, during ongoing year 195 operations were conducted by FIA Peshawar Zone as result of which 211 culprits involved in Hawala Hundi were arrested and 207 cases were registered. He said that the detainees were engaged in Hawala Hundi and currency exchange business without acquiring the license. The spokesman said that US$9790 and foreign currency worth Rs110 million was also recovered from possession of the detainees.
