Police on Monday handed over the body of a female student of the Punjab University, who had committed suicide on Sunday evening, to her family, reported. At the request of the parents of 23-year-old U-H, a resident of Sialkot, who was a student of International Relations, the body was handed over without the completion of legal formalities. Habiba’s corpse had been found hanging from a fan in a room at Hostel No. 8 of the university where she lived with her elder sister. Police said that the student’s sister was in one of her friend’s rooms at the time of the suicide. As per the initial investigation, the girl ended her life as she was suffering from depression after a breakup with her boyfriend.
