The court has ordered the registration of a case against the CCPO, SHO, and other officials following an illegal raid on a lawyer’s home. Additional District and Sessions Judge Nasir Khan presided over the hearing of a petition challenging the unlawful raid on the home of lawyer Syed Mukhtar Ali Shah. The court directed that a case be filed against SHO Shahpur and others involved. The court also instructed the CCPO to take legal action against the concerned parties. The petitioner’s lawyer argued that the SHO, along with accomplices, conducted an illegal raid on Shah’s home on July 29, without a lady constable, warrant, or legal justification. The police allegedly seized 300,000 rupees and jewelry from the house and subjected the petitioner and his son to violence. Additionally, the police filed a false case to legitimize their actions. The court remarked that the SHO and others violated the Police Act and ordered that a case be filed against the CCPO, SHO, and other involved officials.
