Black laws formulated by democratic govt not seen during dictatorial regimes: Khaqan AbbasiBreaking

Former prime minister and chairman Awam Pakistan Party, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said the black laws being formulated by the so-called democratic government have not been witnessed even during the dictatorial regimes. Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said that the government fearing the opposition was making blind and black laws for a rally. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that there was not democracy even in the Pakistan’s Capital and Members National Assembly and Senate were hostage at hands of a SHO and Deputy Commissioner. He said that a political party was allowed to hold a rally on September 8, what happened before, during and after that reflects the political traditions of the country.

The Chairman Awam Pakistan Party said that the rally scheduled to be held outside Islamabad but the government shut down half of Islamabad, the internet was slowed down on the day of the meeting and containers were placed on every road. What kind of democracy was it that the government has been confined by itself, he questioned. He said that no one spoke about the public in the speeches made during the meeting, only accusations and insults were made during the entire meeting. He said that the language use by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister was not acceptable and if was not condemned, the right of democracy was not fulfilled. The former prime minister said that when you were in a responsible constitutional position, every word you speak matters, people see and it reflects your party.
