The police foiled a bid to smuggle drugs and arrested a notorious drug peddler with 10.9 kilogram hashish here on Monday. On an intelligence tip-off, SHO Hafiz Athar Rasheed launched crackdown against drug peddlers in jurisdiction of City police station Hujra Shah Muqeem district Okara. During operation, notorious drug peddler Ali Nawaz was caught red handed during attempt to smuggle 10.9 kilogram hashish. The police confiscated the recovered drugs and the detainee was being investigated after registering a case against him.
