Information Minister Atta Tarar has said that the meetings of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif with world leaders will have far-reaching consequences. Talking to media here on Thursday, he mentioned EFF agreement with the IMF (International Monetary Fund) a positive development. “There was a time when it was feared that Pakistan would default. Now economy is improving; economic indicators are positive due to the reduction in interest rates. Inflation has come down to a single digit. "Bloomberg has also praised improvement in the Pakistani economy,” he added. Tarar said that after the agreement with the IMF, the economy would get boost. Pak rupee has stabilised against dollar. There were record remittances from overseas Pakistanis.”
