Social and political figures from the constituency, including former councillors, municipal representatives, and local leaders, met with Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan to discuss a special development package for the area. The meeting focused on major infrastructure projects aimed at addressing long-standing issues in NA-117. Minister Abdul Aleem Khan announced the commencement of several development schemes, including the construction of water supply systems, sewerage infrastructure, road carpeting, and the building of new link and service roads.
As part of the initiative, 21 new tubewells and one disposal station will be installed, which the minister emphasized will resolve the decades-old water supply problems in the constituency. The package, valued at billions of rupees, also includes the construction of four connecting roads and a new U-turn, with a budget of Rs300 million. Khan assured that these projects are being carried out to meet the public’s demands and resolve issues that have remained unsolved for 30 years. "We are committed to addressing the concerns of NA-117 on a priority basis," Khan said, reaffirming his dedication to the development of the region.
