A 12-foot-long python sent terror wave on a highway and then in a private housing society in Sarai Alamgir but eventually was caught by 1122 personnel before it could cause any damage. The python, weighing around 32 kilograms, appeared on the main highway connecting Azad Kashmir Road with Pakistan. The residents fled their houses after the python was spotted in a private housing society. The Rescue 1122 team moved swiftly into the area and after hectic efforts for three hours they managed to get gold of the python. It may be mentioned here that the local population often face such situation when snakes from nearby Jhelum River come into residential areas and terrorise the residents.
