The Confucius Institute at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) agreed plans for 2026, including expanding Chinese-language teaching, at its board meeting held on Thursday in a hybrid format. Board members approved the institute’s 2025 annual report and its 2026 work plan, and endorsed new board members to strengthen governance and academic coordination. They also agreed to set up new teaching centres and launch a school affiliation programme aimed at widening access to Chinese-language courses and cultural exchanges across Pakistan. Since its inception, the institute has enrolled more than 22,500 Pakistani students in language and cultural programmes and has administered HSK/HSKK exams for more than 12,000 candidates.
