As part of celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), under the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC), hosted renowned Chinese travel content creator Hua Yi Cun on a familiarization tour of Pakistan.
The tour was organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Pakistan in China and the Gilgit-Baltistan Tourism Department to promote Pakistan’s diverse tourism attractions among Chinese audiences, Gwadar Pro reported on Tuesday.
During his visit, Hua explored Islamabad and the breathtaking landscapes of Gilgit-Baltistan, including Skardu, Khaplu and Shigar, experiencing the region’s natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, hospitality and local cuisine.
During his stay at the iconic Shangrila Resort Skardu, Hua was particularly captivated by the serenity of Shangrila Lake, while his experiences in the region offered Chinese audiences a glimpse into the cultural heritage, hospitality and distinctive tourism experiences of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Through his engaging digital content, Hua showcased Pakistan’s spectacular mountains, cultural diversity and travel experiences to his large following in China, providing potential visitors with a first-hand perspective of Pakistan as a tourism destination.
With a combined social media following of more than 40 million, his content is expected to significantly enhance Pakistan’s visibility in the Chinese tourism market and encourage more Chinese travellers to explore the country.
Talking to Gwadar Pro, PTDC said it remains committed to promoting Pakistan internationally through strategic collaborations and digital tourism initiatives, particularly those that strengthen people-to-people connections between Pakistan and China.
The corporation said such initiatives can help introduce Pakistan’s tourism potential to new international audiences while further deepening the longstanding friendship between the two countries.
