Seven persons including a doctor were killed and five others were injured in an attack in Ganderbal district of occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday evening. According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred after gunmen attacked an Indian construction company in Z-Morh tunnel Gagangeer of Srinagar-Leh Highway area of the district on Sunday evening. The deceased identified as Dr Shahnawaz Qadir Dar of Budgam, Anil Kumar Shukla, Faheem Nazir and Shashi Abrol of Jammu district of the occupied territory while Gurmeet Singh, Muhammad Hanif and Muhammad Kaleem were residents of India. The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital.

He said that three persons died initially while four others died while they were being shifted to a medical facility. Another senior Police officer said that the gunmen fired at the camp, which housed workers of a company engaged in constructing the Z-Morh tunnel at Gagangeer on the Srinagar-Leh Highway. Indian troops continued a massive operation in Sonamarg and others areas of the district.
