Gold prices in Pakistan continued to rise on Wednesday, reaching new record hights in line with the increase in international gold rates. In the local Pakistani market, the price of gold per tola (a unit of weight) increased by Rs300, reaching Rs261,000. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs257, selling at Rs223,765. This followed a Rs700 increase in gold prices on the previous day, with the price reaching Rs260,700 per tola. The international rate of gold remained stable on Wednesday, with the rate reported as $2,512 per ounce (including a $20 premium) by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association. In contrast, silver prices in Pakistan remained unchanged at Rs2,950 per tola.
