Punjab Launches Model Schools For Free Quality EducationBreaking

August 20, 2026

Punjab’s classrooms are being transformed—and it’s about more than just better buildings. It’s about making sure every kid—regardless of their background or their zip code—has a fair chance at success.

A new vision for education
The Punjab Education Foundation is implementing the Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence under the Public Private Partnership mode to improve the standard of education in the province. The initiative seeks to transform schools across all 36 districts into modern learning environments focused on students’ needs.

Beyond the Textbook Learning
The model is not just regular classrooms. The concept of smart classrooms, science laboratories, STEAM programs and digital learning tools is to make education more exciting and future oriented. The schools want to prepare students for a rapidly changing world, using technology in addition to hands-on learning.

Inclusion at the Heart
Accessibility is one of the strongest promises of the initiative. Free, quality education can make a meaningful difference for children in underserved communities, whether in villages or cities. New campuses, including girls’ schools, also underline the need for opportunity for every learner.

Why This Matters
The education is not only a means to employment but also an investment in the future of Punjab. And when students have the resources, skills and confidence to learn, families and communities’ benefit, as well.

The Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence are a bold step toward a more modern and inclusive education system. If well executed and sustained over time, the initiative could help to transform quality education from a privilege to an opportunity for every child.
