Imran Khan moved to PIMS again in the Middle of the night: What they are hiding?Breaking

February 24, 2026

The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, was brought to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in the early hours of Tuesday for a follow-up eye procedure, according to an official press release. The visit was for the second dose of an anti-VEGF intravitreal injection; a treatment commonly used for certain retinal conditions. Before the procedure, Imran Khan was examined by a board of specialists. The medical team reportedly included a consultant cardiologist who performed an echocardiography and ECG.

The results were said to be normal, and the former prime minister was declared clinically stable. The injection was administered under standard monitoring protocols by a consultant ophthalmologist and a consultant vitreo-retinal surgeon from PIMS and Al-Shifa Eye Hospital. Officials described the treatment as a routine day-care surgery, adding that he remained vitally stable throughout and was discharged with follow-up instructions.

However, the circumstances surrounding the hospital visit have sparked concern among his family and party members. According to family sources, his sister and personal doctors were not informed about the transfer to PIMS. Senior journalist Imran Riaz Khan questioned the secrecy of the move, suggesting that bringing him to the hospital quietly at midnight, administering the injection, and issuing an immediate press release reflected the level of pressure within the system.

PTI leaders and family members have reiterated their demand that Imran Khan be examined at Shifa International Hospital instead of PIMS, in the presence of his personal physicians and family. His sister, Aleema Khan, has publicly expressed concerns, alleging that the government is making extra efforts to not provide him proper medical care. She also rejected claims by government ministers that treatment was delayed due to family insistence on being present, calling it a necessary safeguard rather than a delaying tactic.

In a recent statement shared through Bushra Bibi’s daughter, Imran Khan reportedly conveyed that he is not satisfied with his current medical care. According to Aleema Khan, he has repeatedly requested blood tests, but those concerns, she claims, are not being taken seriously. As debates over transparency and medical oversight continue, questions surrounding his treatment remain at the center of political discussion.
