During a live show hosted by Fiza Ali, Dr. Nabia opened about her troubled personal life. She revealed that she has allegedly been facing mental torture from her husband and that living with her in-laws has become extremely difficult for her. As the conversation unfolded, Fiza Ali became visibly emotional and broke down in tears on air. In a strong and protective tone, she stated that if Dr. Nabia’s husband ever abandoned her or mistreated her further, she would not stay silent. She even declared that she stood with Dr. Nabia along with the entire nation.
The emotional exchange quickly went viral. However, instead of sympathy, the clip triggered heavy criticism online. Many viewers accused the show of dramatizing sensitive issues for ratings. Some sarcastically commented that the transmission felt more like a Netflix drama than a Ramzan program. Others mocked Fiza Ali, calling her reaction exaggerated and labelling it “overacting.”
The controversy deepened when public figure Nabeel Baral released a video addressing the matter. He stated that he initially did not want to speak about it but felt compelled to expose what he described as the “reality” behind such programs. In his video, he played an alleged off-air audio clip, claiming that Fiza Ali had forgotten to turn off her microphone during a break.
According to the clip, a voice believed to be Fiza Ali can be heard laughing and discussing how their previous video had gone viral. The speaker allegedly mentioned that the idea was hers and suggested that emotional topics, particularly those involving mothers or in-laws, generate strong audience reactions and engagement.
Nabeel Baral criticized such practices, accusing certain Ramzan transmissions of manipulating public emotions for views and publicity. The incident has since fuelled an ongoing debate about ethics, authenticity, and the commercialization of sensitive personal issues on live television.
