Recently, Fiza Ali appeared on a live television show she was hosting alongside her husband and daughter. During the broadcast, her daughter playfully asked her stepfather, “Can you lift my mother?” In response, he lifted Fiza Ali on air. The moment, though brief, was captured on video and quickly went viral across social media platforms.

The clip sparked widespread criticism, with many viewers expressing disapproval and calling the act inappropriate for a live television program. Among those who reacted strongly was Hina Parvez Butt, a Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA). She urged the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to take immediate notice of the incident. Labelling the act as “vulgar antics,” she described it as shameful and unfit for broadcast, emphasizing the need for maintaining cultural and ethical standards on television.

In response to the growing backlash, Fiza Ali addressed the controversy and defended herself. She stated that the moment had been taken out of context and was never intended to offend anyone. According to her, it was simply a light-hearted and spontaneous interaction during a family segment of the show. She further added that she holds deep respect for her profession and her audience and remains committed to maintaining a positive and respectful relationship with her viewers despite the criticism.
