A one-day training workshop will be organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) titled “State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Financing Schemes for SMEs” on October 27. The goal of the workshop is to train the SMEs on financing opportunities offered by the central bank through commercial banks.
SMEDA will organize the workshop under the aegis of the National Business Development Program (NBDP) to help SMEs expand their operations and boost their productivity. It will be a part of SMEDA’s objective to extend non-financial advisory services to the SMEs.
The training program will provide information about the role of SMEDA and SBP in promoting SME financing, SBP incentive schemes for SMEs, introduction of schemes, participating financial institutions, scope, finance limit, mark-up, tenure, industry risk-coverage and eligibility and loan documentation requirements.
The program will also highlight SME financing products of the Bank of Punjab, how to approach banks, sector and business analysis, assessing financial needs, presenting your proposal and inbuilt charges to consider.
Invitations of the training session have been sent out to small business owners, RCSTSI members, startups and entrepreneurs and other stakeholders who wish to improve their knowledge of the domain.
