The report states that the project, titled “Sindh Human Capital Investment 1000 Days – Integrated Health and Population Programme (Revised)”, was considered during a meeting of the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) held in February 2026.

According to the report, the project was recommended to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) for approval.

The proposed initiative falls under the health sector and is aimed at strengthening nutrition programmes, improving healthcare services and enhancing responses to public health emergencies in the province.

The Planning Ministry’s report notes that the project also focuses on promoting women’s empowerment as part of broader efforts to improve human capital development.

The recommendation of the project was part of the CDWP’s review of development proposals submitted by federal ministries and provincial governments.

According to the report, the CDWP meeting considered a total of eleven agenda items, including development projects, position papers and concept clearance proposals.

Out of these agenda items, six were development projects, three were position papers, and two were concept proposals.

The report states that four projects were approved by the CDWP, while five projects, including position papers, were recommended to the ECNEC for final approval.

In addition, two concept clearance proposals were also cleared during the meeting.

The review process covered development initiatives across multiple sectors, including governance, health, physical planning and housing, science and technology, transport and communications, and water resources.

According to the Planning Ministry’s update, the development projects considered during the meeting aimed to improve service delivery, infrastructure, and sectoral capacity across different parts of the country.

The proposed Rs77,466.11 million Sindh human capital programme was among the largest initiatives reviewed under the health sector during the meeting.

The Monthly Development Update highlights the project as part of broader development initiatives intended to strengthen healthcare services and human capital development through targeted investments in nutrition, health systems and related social services.
