POF signs deal with US firm for production of arms

US arms manufacturing firm M/s FedArms will be jointly producing auto and semi-auto guns with Wah Industries Limited. A Letter of Understanding (LoU) was signed between the two entities here on Wednesday in Wah, according to a press statement released by Pakistan Ordnance Factories.
Wah Industries Limited (WIL) which is a subsidiary of Pakistan Ordnance Factories will receive manufacturing capital from M/s FedArms to produce the said arms. The US firm will provide kit parts, testing protocols, technical pack, and complete process layout to the WIL. Moreover, Pakistani technicians and workers will also receive training from the US-based firm.
The Letter of Understanding agreed for the setting up of an assembly plant for AR 15 and FR 15 series auto and semi-auto guns. The assembly line will be able to produce 4-x calibres; 9-x 19 mm, 7.62 x 39 mm, 7.62 x 51 mm, and 5.56 x 45 mm. The weapon produced will be of export quality. It will attract end consumers both in Pakistan and the International Market.
