PM for quick disbursement of resources among flood-hit people

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the concerned departments to ensure the disbursement of all available resources for early rehabilitation of the flood-affected people on priority basis.
The prime minister issued these directions while chairing a meeting to review the rehabilitation of the flood-affected people in the federal capital, says a statement received by WealthPK.
The prime minister was briefed on Post Disaster Need Assessment (PDNA) prepared with the assistance of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the United Nations agencies.
Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal briefed Shehbaz Sharif on extensive measures being taken to rehabilitate the flood-affected people.
The meeting was also attended by Lt Gen Zafar Iqbal from the National Flood Response Coordination Centre (NFRCC), Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman, Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, and Additional Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry.
