Pakistan’s pharmaceutical goods exports witnessed an increase of 14.72% in the first two months of the financial year 2022-23 as compared to the corresponding period of 2021-22. According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), Pakistan exported pharmaceutical products worth $53.851 million in July-August FY23 as compared to the exports of $46.940 million in July-August FY22, showing a growth of 14.72%. In terms of quantity, the pharmaceutical goods exports rose by 44.58% from 4,859 metric tons to 7,025 metric tons, official data shows.
On year-over-year (YoY) basis, pharmaceutical goods exports increased by 32.09% in August 2022 compared to last year’s. Data shows that pharmaceutical exports in August 2022 were recorded at $29.881 million against the exports of $22.621 million in August 2021. On month-over-month (MoM) basis, exports of pharmaceutical goods increased by 24.66% in August 2022 as compared to $23.970 million in July 2022.
