The export of different items from Pakistan to Malaysia reached an all-time high of $460 million in the financial year 2021-22, taking the total volume of trade between the two countries to $1,723 million, WealthPK reports.
Responding to a question in the Senate, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar said that Pakistan’s bilateral relations with Malaysia witnessed an upward trend, which was reflected in the exchange of visits at the highest political level and the signing of important agreements between the two countries.
She said that accords in various sectors and other important agreements were signed during those visits. She added that a salient feature of enhanced bilateral interaction at the official level between the two countries was initiated in Islamabad by convening the inaugural session of bilateral consultations at the foreign secretaries’ level.
