Exports from Pakistan to the top six trading partners of European countries surged by 16% on year-over-year (YoY) basis, and reached $645.44 million in September 2022 compared to $556.54 million in September 2021, WealthPK reported.

Data from the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) shows that exports from Pakistan to Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Belgium, and France during the first three months (July-Sept) of the current financial year reached $1.881 billion against $1.609 billion during the corresponding period of last fiscal year, representing a growth of 17%.
Exports from Pakistan to the Netherlands surged by 22% to $155.02 million in Sept 2022 as against $127.36 million in Sept 2021. Exports from Pakistan to the Netherlands during (July-Sept) FY23 reached $445.96 million compared to $378.88 million during the same period of last fiscal year, showing a growth of 17%.

Exports from Pakistan to Germany reached $154.91 million in September 2022 compared to $147.83 million in September 2021, indicating a growth of 5%. Exports from Pakistan to Germany in (July-September) FY23 rose by 11% to $467.08 million from $421.63 million in (July-September) FY22.
Exports from Pakistan to Spain stood at $119.08 million in September 2022 against $92.61 million in the same month of the previous fiscal year, depicting an increase of $26.47 million. From (July-September) FY23, exports from Pakistan to Spain were recorded at $362.17 million, up from $276.6 million during the same period of the previous fiscal, showing a growth of 31%.

Exports to Italy were recorded at $96.48 million in September 2022 compared to $78.42 million in the same month of the previous fiscal, showing a growth of 23%. From July-September FY23, exports from Pakistan to Italy reached $280.97 million, up from $238.15 million during July-September FY22, showing a growth of 18%.
Exports from Pakistan to Belgium and France were recorded at $67.88 million and $52.07 million, respectively, in September 2022 compared to $65.48 million and $44.84 million, in the corresponding month of the last fiscal year. From July-September FY23, exports from Pakistan to Belgium and France reached $187.33 million and $137.6 million against $177.1 million and $116.91 million in the corresponding period of the last fiscal year, representing a growth of 6% and 18%.
