Pakistan’s exports of cement increased 1.25% during the first four months of the current fiscal year compared to the corresponding period of last fiscal year. Cement exports were recorded at $66.270 million during July-October 2022-23 against $65.451 million during July-October 2021-22, according to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS). In terms of quantity, the exports of cement dipped by 26.61% from 1,804,285 metric tons to 1,324,142 metric tons, according to the data.
On a year-on-year (YoY) basis, the exports of cement increased by 94.32% during October 2022 compared to the same month of 2021. The country’s cement exports during October 2022 were recorded at $19.916 million against $10.249 million in October 2021.Data shows that the exports of cement declined by 31.65% on a month-on-month (MoM) basis during October 2022 compared to $29.137 million in September 2022.
