October 24, 2022

The Pakistani government is fully committed to offering scholarships and skill trainings to students and entrepreneurs so that they can work to revive the dormant innovative capacity of the youth, said Minister for Education and Professional Training Rana Tanveer Hussain. He made the remarks while speaking at the certificate-awarding ceremony of the Prime Minister’s Youth Skills Development Program and joint international certification with Finland and Japan, organized at the National University of Technology (NUTECH) on Tuesday.

He was received by the rector of NUTECH Lt Gen (Retd) Moazzam Ejaz. The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Finland along with leading industrialists and businessmen of the country.

Rana Tanveer visited the laboratories, libraries and classrooms of the university and appreciated the efforts of the university administration to impart quality education to the students. He congratulated the students who got the certificates on their success and told them to continue working hard to improve the conditions of the people around them and their country.

He said that “platforms like NUTECH are very important for the innovative capability of the country. It is these houses of research and development that enable the country to compete globally. We need to make ourselves internationally competitive. It will not be possible without working in science and technology.”

“Your efforts will not only help you to start successful businesses but also make you capable of generating employment for other people. Economic progress is not possible without people taking the initiative,” he said.

Around 244 students completed certification courses under Prime Minister’s Youth Skills Development international certification program, which aims to prepare Pakistani youth for the local and international markets.
