Pakistan’s fresh mango exports reached $107.09 million this year, with shipments of 85,247 tonnes sent to 49 countries, according to official export figures available with Wealth Pakistan.
The Pakistan Single Window’s figures show that Pakistan exported fresh mangoes worth around Rs30.21 billion during the period covered in the document.
The United Kingdom emerged as the largest market by value, importing Pakistani mangoes worth $29.92 million, with shipments of 8,078 tonnes. This made the UK the leading high-value destination for Pakistan’s fresh mango exports this year.
The United Arab Emirates followed as the second-largest market in value terms, with exports of $17.98 million. In quantity terms, however, the UAE was the biggest buyer, receiving 23,025 tonnes of Pakistani mangoes.
Kazakhstan was another major destination, receiving 18,412 tonnes of mangoes worth $13.99 million. The figures show the growing importance of Central Asian markets for Pakistan’s fruit exports.
Afghanistan also remained a strong regional market, importing Pakistani mangoes worth $10.75 million and weighing 14,261 tonnes. Oman followed with $7.53 million in export value and 10,067 tonnes in quantity.
Together, the top five markets — the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and Oman — accounted for about $80.16 million, or nearly 75% of total fresh mango export earnings shown in the official figures. Their combined volume stood at around 73,842 tonnes, showing that these destinations remained central to Pakistan’s mango export performance.
The data also shows demand from several developed and regional consumer markets. Germany imported mangoes worth $4.73 million, followed by Saudi Arabia at $3.14 million, Norway at $2.73 million, Canada at $2.05 million and Qatar at $1.50 million.
Pakistan’s mangoes also reached a wide spread of smaller markets, including Japan, the United States, Italy, Sweden, Australia, France, Denmark, Switzerland, Singapore, Spain, Malaysia, South Korea, Kuwait, Uzbekistan and the Netherlands. This shows that the export base was not limited to a few traditional buyers but extended across multiple regions.
China also featured among Pakistan’s fresh mango export destinations this year, importing mangoes worth $14,510 with a quantity of 11,811 kilogrammes. Although the volume was modest compared with leading markets, China’s presence in the export list is significant because it shows that Pakistani mangoes are reaching another large consumer market, where further promotion and market development could help widen future demand.
With more than 85,000 tonnes shipped and earnings crossing $107 million, mangoes remain one of the country’s most recognised horticulture exports, supported by strong demand in the UK, Gulf, Central Asian and other international markets.
