A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants International (ICMA) to advance their shared collaboration in the areas of research, development, and innovation.
NUML Director General Brig Syed Nadir Ali noted that strong and active relationships amongst academic institutions can advance the nation's culture of research and innovation. He gave the ICMA president his word that NUML would cooperate fully with the institute under the terms of this MoU and suggested holding joint seminars and workshops.
ICMA President Shehzad Malik believed that NUML and ICMA can work together to improve student outcomes. He added that the MoU will be used to launch expert exchange programmes, internships for NUML students, joint seminars and conferences, and other initiatives.
He said, the ICMA is a ministry of finance-affiliated institution that regulates cost and management accounts. It has 10 branches in Pakistan and five outside, he added. The MoU was signed by ICMA President Shehzad Ahmed Malik and NUML Director General Brig. Syed Nadir Ali in a ceremony conducted at NUML.
