Minister of Agriculture and Livestock of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mohibullah Khan has instructed that the ongoing and new projects should be finished in time for the provincial government’s plans to put agriculture and livestock on the path of development. He was presiding over a high-level meeting to discuss the status of different current and new Annual Development Plan (ADP) and Accelerated Implementation Programme (AIP) projects in the province and merged districts.

In the meeting, it was revealed that 94 projects, including 72 ongoing projects and 22 new ones, will be undertaken in 2022–2023 for a total budget of 10,665.295 million rupees. When these projects are finished, he said, they will help the economy, address the food shortage, and provide additional job possibilities.

According to Mohibullah Khan, the province’s administration gave agriculture and livestock special attention, including them among the essential sectors, and provided record amounts of money to launch several projects. The provincial minister was informed of the funding designated for ADP 2022–23 schemes as well as the sums disbursed and utilised in this regard.

AIP and other significant tribal area initiatives funded by the Prime Minister’s Agriculture Emergency Programme and Agriculture Transformation Plan received a thorough briefing. The meeting was informed that 53.5% of the funds have so far been made available for a number of foreign aid projects, including the Prime Minister’s Agriculture Emergency Programme, Gomal Zam Dam Command Area, and other significant projects.
