Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque has committed himself to address difficulties facing the IT industry, saying that it is essential to the country ’s economic growth. Speaking to a delegation from Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), he stated that in view of the prime minister's instruction, both P@SHA and the Ministry of IT will need to work hard to advance the country's IT sector. He further stated that the government will keep assisting P@SHA and the IT industry.
According to Syed Amin Ul Haque, the ministry is well aware of the problems facing the IT industry and administrative barriers, and the prime minister will soon be informed in this respect. The minister was praised by P@SHA Chairman Zohaib Khan for his assistance and support of the IT industry. Without the assistance of the appropriate departments, he said, the IT industry would not be able to meet its goals, including a 15-billion-dollar export objective.
