ISLAMABAD, April 15 (INP): The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in continuation of goodwill gesture and its annual traditions on directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has gifted 120 tons more dates to Pakistan. A simple but dignified ceremony in this connection was held at the federal capital. The ceremony was also attended by Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Nawaf Bin Said Al-Maliki. The consignment of 120 tons dates was handed over to Punjab Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Syed Saeed ul Hassan. Speaking on the occasion, Syed Saeed ul Hassan has said that Saudi Arabia has always cooperated with Pakistan in critical times, which was proof of strongly brotherly relations between the two countries. He further stated that Saudi Arabia has been actively participating in projects for welfare of the deprived sections lunched across the globe especially in Muslim countries. It is worth mentioning here that last week Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud had sent Ramadan food packages for 20,000 deprived families of Balochistan. A day earlier, a consignment of 100 tons dates gifted by Saudi Arabia were handed over to the Government of Pakistan at Royal Embassy of KSA in Islamabad by Saudi Envoy Nawaf Bin Said Al-Maliki and Director King Salman Humanitarian Aid & Relief Centre (Ksrelief) Dr. Khalid M. Al-Othmani for distribution among Pakistani brethren in the Holy month of Ramadan. INP/SB
