Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Rana Ihsan Afzal Khan said that the government's key priorities are to stabilise the economy and provide a favourable environment for international investment.
Talking to the media, he said the expansion of economic relations between Pakistan and China under the current administration is showing good results. He said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has served as a model for many other countries.
In response to a query, Rana Ihsan stated that political stability is essential for economic expansion and added that the country's current political unrest would have a negative effect on the economy. Pakistan would reap multiple benefits from a peaceful environment which would attract foreign investors to the country, he added.
He urged international companies to avail a number of attractive investment opportunities offered by Pakistan. The current administration's pragmatist long-term policies will not only stop the country's economic collapse but also steer it on the right path, he added.
