Furniture exports climbed by 93.61% during the first four months of the fiscal year 2022–23 compared to the same period of the previous year. According to data issued by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, between July 2022 and October 2022, furniture worth $5,386,000 was exported, up from $2,782,000 during the same time last year. The exports of guar and guar products climbed by 27.67%, totalling $14,263,000 compared to $ 11,172,000 during the same period of the previous year.
Handcraft exports also saw 100% growth, going from zero during the same period last year to $527,000 during the current fiscal year. When compared to the same period last year, cement exports climbed by 1.25% to $66,270,000 during the period under review, the PBS data showed.
