Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) will participate in a single country expo and conference, on December 1, in South Africa to look for commercial prospects and explore potential new markets for the country’s goods. Speaking to a group of business leaders, PFC Chief Executive Officer Mian Kashif Ashfaq said that it is a fantastic chance to promote Pakistani goods and establish commercial relationships with foreign customers.
According to him, a delegation from Pakistan made up of about 225 exhibitors and business representatives, representing 20 major industries, will travel to Johannesburg to take part in the expo. These industries include pharmaceuticals, tractors, agricultural machinery, engineering, sports goods, and chemicals. Mian Kashif Ashfaq said the expo is arranged by the Ministry of Commerce, which has invited 16 member states of the South African Development Community (SADC) to participate in it.
He stated that dignitaries from South Africa, including the trade and industry minister, will also attend the conference. According to him, this expo will provide professional buyers with a sourcing platform with a wide range of goods, from the basic to the most innovative and high-quality. He said that PFC has already attended a number of other international trade shows in the United States, China, Italy, Sri Lanka, and other countries and displayed its highly sought-after items.
He aspired to get business from overseas clients at the forthcoming expo. Mian Kashif said, going to the single-country expo is mostly done to support the development of the domestic economy. He said that he will meet with business titans and urge them to take advantage of the Pakistani government’s historically generous special package for international investors.
