The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has called upon the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) to settle the issue of low gas pressure being faced by the industry. Regional Chairman Muhammad Nadeem Qureshi urged the gas company to prioritize the industry at a meeting. Moreover, the issue of advance billing must be resolved immediately, he added. The meeting was also attended by Vice President of FPCCI Riffat Malik, Coordinator Muhammad Ali Mian, Convener of Committee for Gas Shafiq Ahmed Butt, SNGPL Senior GM Business Development Jawad Saleem, Senior GM Distribution Tayyab Faisal, and GM Business Development Wajiha Anwar.
According to Nadeem Qureshi, the industry was severely impacted by low gas pressure, so the authorities must do everything possible to keep the industrial wheels turning. The current economic scenario has brought multi-faceted problems to the industries which must be solved at the earliest. Qureshi presented these demands to the SNGPL Managing Director Syed Ali Javed Hamdani who visited the FPCCI Regional offices in order to hear out and solve the problems faced by the business community in the country. Hamdani instructed relevant officers to address the issues facing business owners and industrialists during the meeting.
