Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has urged the Government of Pakistan to capitalize on exportable products and services, stating that this is the only solution to Pakistan’s economic woes. The suggestion was put forward by the RCCI President Saqib Rafiq while speaking during the Corporate Clients Seminar.
He said that it is very important to make Pakistan’s products competitive at the global stage. “We need to set our standards according to international norms,” he added He said, “we enjoy a very important strategic location. We can reach the Central Asian markets through the Afghan Transit Route. We need to invest in our sectors of information technology, services, hospitality and pharmaceuticals.”
Saqib Rafiq said that Pakistan is one of the fastest digitizing economies of the world. “Digitization is upending the business and services sectors. It has increased supply chain efficiency, lowered transaction costs and enhanced flexibility in addressing the consumer needs.”
