The Bahawalpur Trade Fair has been playing a vital role for the last four years in promoting social and economic activities in the region and the development of the local industry, WealthPK reports. Vice-chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof Athar Mahboob hoped that the fair would soon become an international event. He was addressing the closing ceremony of the fourth Bahawalpur Trade Fair. The fair was jointly organised by the Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and the district administration on the occasion of the 18th Cholistan International Desert Jeep Rally.
President of Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali Maan, senior vice president Hanif Ahmed, vice president Adeel Khalid, secretary gymkhana Malik Ijaz Nazim, former presidents Chaudhry Abdul Jabbar and Chaudhry Javed Iqbal, focal person Prof Asif Naveed Ranjha, director of press media and publications Shahzad Ahmed Khalid and secretary general of Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Abeer Haider were also present on the occasion.
Prof Athar Mahboob said that the Bahawalpur Trade Fair during the last four years played a vital role in promoting social and economic activities and the local industry. He said that the cooperation between the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and the Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry in that regard was an excellent example for other institutions. Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali Maan thanked the vice-chancellor and organisers for the full participation of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in the fair.
