Eleven schools in Jalandhar, Punjab State of India, received bomb threat emails today, which led to panic as parents started gathering outside schools to pick their wards. According to Kashmir Media Service, the school authorities shared the details of the emails with the police, who immediately started the search operation.

The schools were closed. To avoid panic, the school authorities did not share details with the children till they left the school. The schools apprised parents of the early closure by messaging them on WhatsApp.
