Senior police officers on Tuesday visited the families of martyred police personnel as part of 'Police Martyrs' Week', reaffirming the department's commitment to their welfare and presenting gifts to the children of the martyrs. Regional Police Officer (RPO) Ghulam Mubashar Mekan and District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin Ahmed visited the homes of the martyrs, where they met family members, including elders, women and children. They offered Fateha and prayed for the departed souls, the country's security and lasting peace.

Speaking on the occasion, the officers said the martyrs had sacrificed their lives in the line of duty to protect the nation and maintain peace, adding that their services and sacrifices would always be remembered. The RPO also met the children of the martyrs and distributed gifts among them. He assured the families that the police department would continue to support the education, welfare and well-being of the martyrs' children.

The families appreciated the police department's continued contact and support, while the children expressed happiness over the gesture. The DPO said the families of martyred police personnel remained an integral part of the police family and that the department would continue to extend every possible assistance to them.

The RPO said Police Martyrs' Week was aimed not only at paying tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs but also at reassuring their families that their loved ones' sacrifices would never be forgotten. The officers reiterated their commitment to carrying forward the mission of the martyrs with professionalism and dedication while continuing to look after the welfare of their families.
