Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has called upon the nation to fully follow the ideals and vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to build an inclusive and prosperous Pakistan.He was addressing an event in connection with the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.

The Chairman emphasized that Quaid-e-Azam envisioned Pakistan as a modern democratic state based on the principles of equality, justice and the rule of law. He said Quaid-e-Azam was not only founder of Pakistan but he was also symbol of principled leadership, constitutionalism and moral courage.  He said that the founding father's principles remain as relevant now as they were at the time of Pakistan's creation.

He said his political journey was shaped by constitutionalism and democratic principles. The Chairman Senate emphasized that those entrusted with authority must place national interest above personal considerations. He said institutions must function with transparency and integrity, and that our youth must commit themselves to learning discipline and service to the nation.
