Throwing garbage in street, man held over violation of Article 144
KARACHI, Sept 26 (INP): The first arrest over throwing garbage in streets of Karachi was made on Thursday where a man was held under article 144.
A citizen pointed out that a man threw garbage outside his residence in Sukhan police station jurisdiction after which police arrested the house owner identified as Abdul Jabbar.
It should be mentioned here that the provincial government has announced to award Rs100,000 to any person who "films and identifies people who throw garbage" on the streets of Karachi.
Meanwhile, in line with its ongoing cleanliness drive, the Sindh government has also imposed a ban on littering, spitting and throwing debris of damaged structure on roads throughout the province.
