PMD forecasts cooler nights ahead for Karachi
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has announced a three-day weather forecast indicating that Karachi is likely to experience cool nights in the coming days. Temperatures are expected to drop to as low as 17 degrees Celsius, with mostly dry weather during the daytime. The PMD predicted the arrival of winter in Karachi as people are experiencing cooler nights. The minimum temperature recorded in the last 24 hours was 17.8 degrees Celsius, and forecasts predict it will range between 17 degrees Celsius and 19 degrees Celsius on December 3 and 4. The humidity level in Karachi is currently at 58%, with light winds coming from the northeast.
Additionally, the Met Office has predicted light rain or drizzle in the districts of Kambar Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, and Larkana, while temperatures in the upper districts of Sindh may drop to 16 degrees Celsius later this week. In Balochistan, the weather has turned colder following rain and hail storms in the northeastern districts. The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) reported that the hail storm broke a 42-year record in Duki District, damaging hundreds of solar panels and trees. Frosty winds have swept through the province, pushing temperatures down to -3 degrees Celsius in the Kan Mehtarzai area of Chaman, with the potential for temperatures to drop to -7 degrees Celsius in northern districts near the border.
